Hey everyone. So I think we have narrowed down an A24. Had a hard time because I still really like the '19 T23. We know the redesign took place in 18 for the A24. So I know we have the 2:1 tranny, 17" prop, surf band, etc. The only difference that I see between the two years is a slightly different swim platform and the captains chair. Am I missing something else major? Or is it all little stuff?

From everything that we have heard (here is MN the snow is still on the ground and the lakes are frozen) the A24 will rival most from behind the boat. I still don't care for all the electronics of the others.

Please let me know if I am totally missing something here between the two years. I really appreciate the help.

Biggest difference will be the option of power wedge 3 vs 2 in the 2018 model, assuming thats an option you're getting. PW3 give you more adjustability and a slightly larger foil. Other than the mentioned captains chair, thats about it. Also, PW3 requires surfpipe to added. Not sure why, but its what Ive heard from alot of people.

Yes to the power wedge. I look at that option the same as a boat with/without surfgate at this point.

onewake09 can you expand on the additional adjustability of PW3 vs PW2? My limited knowledge on the PW is 5 or so settings (5 different spots while under way, the lifting feature and stowed) where you can mellow out the wake or really steepen it up. Our local then said it doesn't have lift mode but when cruise is set it goes into the Axis version of lift mode to get you on plane when loaded up, but you have to have cruise set. So aside from being slightly larger is there a nice feature within PW3 that would worth it? Surfpipe was coming this time around regardless.

We surf the majority of the time and love the fact that the new A24 can be had without extra bags everywhere. This didn't stop me from buying a bunch of lead however.

Surfgates are bigger on the 19, I believe they are an inch or two taller.

Congrats. The lakes are beginning to thaw and I've even seen some crazy people surfing. It's also nice to break in a boat while the water is still ice cold. I pick up my new to me 14 A24 in 8 days.

Had the boat out and surfed in 50 degrees water. It was a crappy day so I didn't get much time to tweak the wave. Fun none the less.

Got out again (on a much nicer day) and had the chance to drive with the boat fully loaded, all hard tanks plus plug and play (650ish bow bag & 750s in the rear lockers), and play with lift mode. All I can say is this is an awesome feature. The boat got on plane better than our '16 A20 with no ballast (350 motor). There were soo many times with our A20 that we had to empty ballast to speed back to the dock and the power wedge would have made things a lot faster back then. If anyone is on the fence about it, get it. Awesome feature and now that we have it I will never not have it, unless something better comes out of course. Played with it while people were surfing and it is really cool to mess with wedge settings and speed. Our regular wave seemed to be awesome at 11.0-11.5 with wedge at 5. Super clean face.
