I'm going to some RGB speaker lighting for a spring boat project and was wondering what wire and connectors everyone here found that worked the best and didn't break the bank. I'm going to light the 4 Icon 8 tower speakers and bought XS650's with RGB to replace the 65's then planned on the wet sounds rgb controller for now. |

I'd use this wire: https://www.monoprice.com/Product?p_id=13730 (4 conductor 18 awg) I'd cut these in half and solder one side to the leds and the other side to the wire going to the controller. http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-Pcs-10mm-4-P ... Swn8FXSRAH Then put a dab of silicone over the solder joint and heat shrink over that. |

Just curious how you're wiring everything together, are you going to run the RGB wires together in series to an already existing wire to give them power or are you running each LED strip back to a controller individually? I'm thinking about doing LED cupholders and really not sure how to power them. I know there's a better way than running all 16 cup holders directly to the interior lights switch. I'm just not sure how to do it properly? |

You will wire in parallel. Run a couple of "mains" from your controller to your rgb zones, then branch off of those to each particular rgb location. Think trunk of tree to branches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I like kinda get it, and I see wiring diagrams, but I don't like real world get it. How do i connect the wires physically together in a chain? Splice? Twist on connector? Butt connector? A pic would be really really helpful. I was thinking about hooking into my interior led wiring and just using that switch and forego RGB. |

butt connectors will work. do the input in one end and several outputs in the other end (original wire plus a few "branches"). |

I'm currently doing the same project with my 4 Rev 10's. I purchased the 4 Wetsounds RGB LED rings and the RGB brain/controller. Will be the first time doing a project like this so any help will be great! |

I did this on my old Axis... pay extra for the swivel clamps; as the connectors are pre-wired and you can mount w/o the speaker attached... just my $0.02... Haven't heard if they've been redesigned, but I had to drill small holes for the wire between the ring and speaker housing... that was nerve racking. |
