Hi,
We were just thinking about putting some tower speakers on soon and were thinking we would get 4x 8inch speakers and was just wondering if you guys have issues with head room and walking under the speakers. I'm 6'4" and was just standing under the tower thinking I would have to duck under them.

Also has anyone mounted the speaker above the tower to get them out of the way. Any help much appreciated.

I have a 2017 a20, so i doubt there is much if any difference in your 16'. I run one pair of rev10's. Im 5'10" and dont have an issue. I would imagine with 2 pair of 8's its going to be tight for such a tall person. Also, i didnt see a post awhile ago where a guy mounted his towers above the tower on a malibu. He had to modify his bimini to work also. I understand the concept, but it didnt look that good too me.

We have the icon 8ā€™s on an A22. Iā€™m 6ā€™4ā€ as well and def have to duck under the speakers. But when you get around our height you just have to make things work.

Yeah I think it will definitely be a bit of an inconvenience and they probably won't look as good on top of the tower. I just have to decide if I want convenience and practicality or good looks.

Id go with one pair of rev10's over two pair of icon 8s. It's less expensive and with the single pair mounted in the widest holes it's not really an issue. They are basically over the seats and out of the way.

1 pair of Rev 10's is all you'll need, will leave the whole middle open for you. This is my 18 T22.Image
