Anybody considering replacing the Sony head unit might want to take a look at the new RF PMX-5. I looked at the dimensions and it appears to be a good alternative to the factory head unit. You can also replace the Sony transom remote with a RF PMX-0R which also uses a 2" diameter cutout. The PMX-1R is another option but would require a 3" diameter cutout.

You most likely need the remote 25ft extension cable as well. I don't think typically the included cable is very long but let me know might work.

Was the remote cable long enough? I loathe the sony head unit in my 2014 A24. I want to change to the new kicker KMC20. But this looks nice as well.

Let me know if i need to find a longer cable.

Can you control the tower speakers separate from the cabin? if so is it pretty easy to control without fishing through menus. thanks definetly thinking about upgrading but its between the rockford and the Wet sounds 420
