Hi All,

I bought a new 2015 A22 in November and go to pick it up from the dealer next Friday - quite excited even though the water is still in the low 40's. It's equipped with SP1 and I did some shopping for it over the winter but know I'm missing a few bits. I currently have 4 Icon 8's, a 12" WS sub, and 2 WS amps. Based on other forum lurking, it looks like I will want a WS EQ. I've done a bunch of car stereo stuff in the past but nothing on a boat.

What other install stuff will I need? Tips?

Thank you,
Peter

Definitely will need wire, connectors, electrical tape, fuse holders, fuses and the tools to make it all work. I bought my boat with SP1 and over winter added tower speakers/amp and sub/amp as well as bluetooth and a few other doo-dads, all pretty straightforward just takes time.

Thx. Do you recall if there a signal output on the SP1 amp for the RCA's for my new amps or do I need to tap in from the head unit? Did you mount the EQ under the dash?

My boat didn't have any amps from the factory. I wired everything up to the HU.

Oh, for some reason I thought I read that SP1 still utilizes an amp.

SP1 will come with a smaller amp board and the little kicker media brain will be mounted to it, the kicker brain is 50 watts times 4 and is 2 ohm stable, it also has all the rca outputs coming off of it. I ordered my boat with SP1 and added the HT6 for the 6 in boat speakers and sub and the Arc Audio 600.2 for the pair of Rev10s.

Mine did not have any amp just a deck... pretty sure I had sp1? Idk it was the most basic option though.

I'm pretty sure Steve has a 2016 where everyone else in this thread has a 2015.

That is correct, I guess they switched to the kicker media center in 2016.

I like that mounting position for the fire extinguisher... I will be copying. :-)
