Yeah I have about 600 lbs of lead in the front half of the boat. 200 in the bow tip, 100 behind driver kick panel, 100 opposite that behind the batteries, 100 under seat just behind driver seat, 100 opposite that under the seats. All 600 is in front of the tower mounts.

I see what you are saying now with the connections hidden, I have seen other guys on WW or malibucrew do that same thing. The only bummer with pulling the bow bag and putting it on top is loosing that bow space all the time you are riding. I imagine you will want/need a little bit of bow weight most of the time, but moving the bag on top would kill your passenger space anytime you need any amount of bow weight. If you can keep that bag under the seats and use that as your primary, then grab another horseshoe bag to sit on top when you really want to slam the boat, then you will not need to bring that top bow bag out very much, only when you are doing serious riding.

Anyhow, this thread has really got my gears turning. In about a month I should have my new bow ballast set up finished and I will share, but I am pumped on the ideas I got from this thread... thanks, and good luck with whatever you choose.

I finished the new bow set up. I have water tested it but found that one of my quick connects did not have an o-ring on it, so I was leaking all over the place and ran out of daylight.... I will go out again next week now that I have my oring installed, and will ride and take pictures of my set up.

I can tell you that it is nice to not have the lead in the bow anymore, having my boat sit level like it does from factory is great for loading and unloading the boat.... so much easier now. I was able to fill my bow bag (sumo 750 U-shape sac used for the A24) approx 80%. I had 4 adults and 2 kids in the boat, approx 4500 lbs of ballast and lead, and the boat planed pretty well. I was surprised because I was a little bow light, or so I thought. I could fit another 200-300 lbs in that bow sac i think, but just looking at it from the boat at 23 mph, the wake looked insane.

I will report back....

sumo 750 (fills to more than 800 when completely full) on top of the seats. I choose this over the 650 bow triangle because it fits a little more snuggly and still allows a little bit of room in the bow for stepping in and out. Plus it holds another 100-150 lbs.

File comment: sumo 750 bow sack used in the T22-A24. Fills to over 800 lbs when completely full.

Here is my sumo 950 mushroom sack with the 3/4" vent on top and the 1" fill line on bottom, you can see the 1-way valve and how much extra hose is curled around. Disconnect this 1" from the mushroom sack and connect it to the fill on the 750 bow sack.

Here is that 1" fill line (that is connected to the piranha 1100 pump that I installed in place of the 800 piranha) connected to 1 of the 2 top fill ports.

you can also see the short 1" drain line that connects to the bottom right drain port of the bow sack and then drains into the mushroom sack port where the stock fill line goes.

here you can see that short 1" drain line I use with quick connects, one end goes to one of the 2 drain ports on the 750 bow bag, and the other goes to the 1" fill line on the mushroom bag.

here she is almost all the way full. I need to put a ball valve on that short drain line because all that water weight from the top sack pushing into the bottom sack is forcing water past the drain pump and out the boat. some water is getting pushed out the vent line as well. No big deal, I have an inline shut off valve already, so I will just add that in and see how it goes.

The double bow bag set up is approx. 1350... I am guessing 750 for the top bow sack and 600 for the mushroom sack. Then I timed how long it took to fill both completely full and it was 11 minutes. That 1100 pump fills the sumo 900's in 6:30, so assuming they are only 900 in the locker (tested at 1000 completely full and expanded), then that same 1100 pump will be able to fill 1550 lbs. So I think that it is safe to say my double bow bag set up is at least 1550. (800 lbs out of the 750 sack, and 750 out of the 950 mushroom sack). This is about 200-250 lbs more than I had in my bow with the single bow sack and my lead. I can tell too as the bow sits lower when I come off plane.

The wake. So this is about 800 lbs more than I normal ride with (except when I add the sumo 800 floor sack). Putting the 600 lbs of lead all midship, I expected the wake to be exactly the same as with the 800 floor sack, but it was not. The wake was a little less steep than with the floor sack.... makes sense as there is 200 more lbs in the bow and 200 less midship. I rode really late at sunset so my pictures are worthless... but I will take good ones hopefully next time out. I have some movement to make, I am going to start with moving 200 lbs of lead into the rear lockers under the sumo 900's, 100 lbs on each side. I think this will be perfect.

All in all I am very happy with the set up. I love not having my bow so low all the time. Loading and unloading is so easy now.
