Good read, thanks for the info and pictures.

What made you decide on aerator pumps vs reversible pumps?

My boats a little too new to feel the need to do all this but I'm just doing my research now and trying to learn what I can. Always looking to speed up fill/drain times and keep things simple so figured I'd ask.

We did my buddies mastercraft (all new pumps) with 2 way pumps the only advantage I see if they are easier to install. They are more expensive and slower then airators. He ended up adding airators to his setup because it was so slow to fill and drain.

Yes, it was very simple to just replace the aerator pumps with higher volume pumps. They just screw in and screw out. Depending on the year of your boat, you may already have the larger diameter hoses and faster pumps, so for you it may just be an hour of work, pulling the locker floors, pulling the hard tanks, then directly plugging in your sack, just like Walter did.

Last weekend i had a pnp line get pinched and it wouldn't drain until we got it onto the trailer and I pulled fittings and drained into the bildge until i could unpinch the line for the pump to work. Now im thinking about pulling hard tanks and selling my 750 flyhighs and putting 1100 fly highs or sumo 900's in this winter

Bringing this back from the dead since I ordered everything to do mine today finally. At least I hope I did! my setup will be a bit different as far as fittings and line sizes etc. with being a newer model and I ordered 1100# bags so once everything comes in and I do the install I will do a write up for the 2013+ models or whatever year started the 1-1/8 lines etc. to help out those guys that are on the fence about doing this mod.
