Have a 2012 a22 vandall.

Upgraded the tower to 2 -rev410 from the pro 485 and switched that amp to a SD4

Question on the other 6 boat speakers I would like to go to the XS650 from the sw65's

Is the sin6 enough power or will it get by for a little while or should I wait and go with a sd6 or ht6 if I wanna save a little. I don't want to switch speakers and have it cutting out

Worried the HT6 won't have enough power for the factory sub.

Just looking for a little insight I don't know a ton about audio stuff

Thanks

A good rule of thumb is to match up or slightly exceed the speaker's rms watts rating with the amp watts rating. Subs are a little different.

What are you going to do with the sw65's? I am interested in upgrading my alpines to some wetsounds.

After looking at the specs. The Syn6 would be ideal running the xs650's. Since each of the xs650's are 4 ohm, you can wire two speakers each to a channel and get 105 watts rms from each channel. You won't be using all the channels on the amp but that is fine. Each of the channels will be running at 2 ohms so the amp may run a little hot. Make sure you wire the speakers up to the correct channels. 2 out of the 6 channels are different than the other 4 channels. You will use three out of those four channels. Clear as mud?

XS650 are 100 watts rms / 200 max each speaker. Putting 2 together and only getting 105watts is enough?

That is 105 watts to each speaker. Basically by doubleing the speakers lowers the resistance. By doing that, the amp draws more energy and creates more heat but you push the speakers harder.

Definitely let me know when you want to sell them. I have heard great things about the xs650's. I have heard the sw65's and they meet my needs. My current alpine 6.5's don't meet my sound quality requirements.

If you have any more questions about how the channel/watts/ohms thing works, let me know.
