The unit with built-in BT won't be available till the 3rd quarter probably, and one of the nice things about the stand-alone BT controller is you can mount it in a convenient location for toggling tracks, volume control, and changing BT acquisition between music sources. We mount ours in front of the throttle and it works very well in the boat or from the dock.

You then connect via bluetooth or via the aux-in mini-plug. I simply stream music from spotify through my phone and bluetooth into the boat. Peter |

The BT unit (WS-420BT) is too large to fit in the dash, (face is too wide) so we still use and offer the standard unit, and I do feel the added convience of the separate BT controller is almost a necessity. Being able to skip tracks forward and backward, in addition to easy pairing and input volume control make the separate BT controller a valuable part of the package. |

Do you end up with two volume controls being additive in this setup? Also any pics of the face plate available? The previously posted ones no longer load. |

Bhowell, are you referring to the WS-420 and the BT controller as the two volume controls? If so, then yes, but the BT controller is a stepper knob for input volume, and does not work well as the volume control. Simply max out input volume and then use the 420 for output volume.
