You are the first I've ever heard using that prop on an Axis. Your dealer had it come on the boat that way?

Dealer deliverd it with ACME 537 (13.5 X 16). If I was not surfing or running so much ballast, it would be a nice prop. I operate at about 600 feet above sea level.

I managed to hit my trailer with the original prop. Trailer was too deep for the ramp, and I pulled up too far. I then touched it into reverse with the intent to move the boat back before having the trailer moved forward. I did not realize that the trailer's alignment posts were behind the transom and the narrower swimstep allowed the boat stearn to swing sideways enough for the prop to hit the trailer.

The prop shop was ready to put it back to ACME 537 specs, but I asked about less pitch. They said that adjusting 2" of pitch was not a problem for a 13.5" bronze prop. I might have gone more than 2" if given much of a choice (they said if I did not like it, they would adjust the pitch again), but I really like what I ended up with. I wish I could test a 15 X 12 and see if the larger diameter and shorter pitch is much better than what i have. Actually I wish I knew someone who wanted to trade such a prop for a almost new (Less than 10 hours in crystal clear LA drinking water), never dinged, ACME 537. Someone just skiing or wake boarding without insane ballast would love that "stock" prop.

Are you sure this is correct? I have the 1235 and every other thread says the 2315 and the 2419 are a step up. How did the 1235 out perform the 2315?

I think he had the 1235 and 2315 mixed up. Johnny is the reason I got a 2315.

So an A22 sacked out with 2315 should have no problem right?

That depends on the year of the A22 and motor, the elevation, the crew size, wedge or no wedge, and what your definition of "sacked out" is. My definition of "sacked out" is 5000lbs or more, others 3500lbs is "sacked out". Lots of factors.

If the 2315 wont do it then the only other options are to repower or redistribute and/or lose weight. The 2419 does have less cup than the 2315 but the difference is minimal.

I disagree...if the 2315 struggles, the 2419 will do it. However, your rpm's will increase by 250-300 and top end will decrease approx 3-4mph

2013, 330 motor, 400 above sea level stock + 750's +fly high bow sack + 450 cabin lead+ full gas and crew of 5 (no wedge) 2315 is money. I've had 800 in the cabin on top of that with 250 in the bow and it planed but it took a while.

Thanks, i figured it was a type-o but wanted to make sure that the 2315 is what I need. I have 2012 A22 with 330 and I am at sea level. The 1235 does a good job unless I have full sacks (stock+750rear and 950 arrow) and wedge down with more than 3-4 peeps in boat.
