I am looking to get a spare tire for my 'tricked out trailer' and was wondering what other people are using. Anyone have a good source? My trailer has the 18" 5 lug Gear Alloy Blackjack Carbon Black Rims on it now. It would be sweet if it matched but not necessary.

Went to Les Schwab today they are talking $225 for a full size spare on a generic galvanized rim with a bottom end tire on it...

Thanks for any input.

This the matching size. Mine are Rockstars though

18x9 KMC XD Rockstar Black Wheel/Rim(s) 5x114.3 5-114.3 5x4.5 18-9

I paid 200 shipped for the wheel. Found a tire on discount for another 100. Different brand than the Nexen tires on the trailer, but same specs.

This looks like a match:

If you're unsure, call boatmate to confirm. Just me, but I would spend the extra 70-100 to make them match

Thanks, that's a better deal than I had been finding for the wheel... That's what I was thinking too. Didn't think they would be that high for a generic spare.

Sorry for the dumb question but I'm just about to take delivery of an A20 with a tandem axel. Am I reading that the spare tire is an option and not standard on the trailer?

Cheers,
Jason

I finally got it all figured out after numerous phone calls and emails. I got the exact rim and tire that came on my trailer from tirebuyer.com. Price, including shipping was 329.00. Had to put in that I had a 1998 Jeep Wrangler with the 2nd tire option. This allowed me to get the 18x9 wheel with 5x4.5 lug pattern and 10 offset. Kind of a pain as they had to have the vehicle I was placing the wheel on or they wouldn't sell it, and boatmate trailers wasn't an option.

It was only available in one offset but I believe it was positive 10. All sizes were direct from boatmate
