Once in a while if I weight my boat, I'll put a 500# fatsac in the bow on the cushions. Obviously, there is not a perfect way of capping these sacs, so a little water pours out onto the cushions when filling/draining, etc. and other situations causing water to come in the bow

Any rate, it doesn't all go down the big center hole. It seems to pool up in the forward most part of the bow and sits there until I soak it up with a towel. Anyone tried drilling just a couple 1/4" holes in the glass up there so it'll drain?

another issues, is that the forward bilge area is all carpeted and I don't really care to spill water all over that carpet. I can foresee a very stinky and filthy forward bilge, even if it is taken care of and tended to properly...

Opinions, suggestions, etc.?

I'd also like to hear if anyone has addressed this. That forward area where the front sac goes really isn't even bilge, it is above the floor. It connects to the side compartment where all the amps and other electrical components are. I discovered mine was all wet in that compartment due to a leaky check valve on my front fill line. The valve has been fixed but I'd still like to know if there is any good way to keep that area dry.
