I will admit I do not know a lot about V drives. I was replacing the starter in my 2010 A22 and noticed there was something dripping water here and there under the engine/transmission when the boat wasn't running. Boat was in the water for three days, bag were empty, no surfing just cruising. When I put it on the trailer on the ramp I pulled the drain plug and about 2 gallons came out. I normally have water when surfing and people in and out of the boat. Just wondering if this is normal from the shaft seal and/or other plumbing? I pulled my back replacing the starter so healing up before climbing back there again if needed.

I'd want to know where the leak is and how it changes when the boat is operating. Just having wet people come in and out of the boat will generate some water in the bilge. 2 gallons is more than I'd see come out of mine, but if you were operating the engine during that time it doesn't sound like you have a big leak. I'd want to make sure my engine temps are under control- 160 at full temp. And I'd also want to be sure I didn't see my bilge running constantly while I was underway. Determine where the leak is and how bad it is. But doesn't sound like time to panic.

I always have some water in the bottom of the boat. But if you are seeing water dripping I’d try and find out where it is coming from. I just found a bag leak that was enough to cause the bilge to run a few times more than normal. If it is a bad enough leak you will see more bilge work than normal
