1/4" shim behind actuator bracket. Moves gate 1/4" from swim platform (my gates were already about 1/4" away so now they are about 1/2" away) and clears D ring without jeopardizing performance. So unless you want to get into gel work and moving the D rings this would be the way to go. Either way warranty will cover it. This is for 2018 T22s.ImageImage

Can you explain why you need this done?

On 2018 T22s when the surfgate is opened the actuator hits the D-Ring and puts a lot of pressure on the plastic actuator bracket causing them to break. So unless you move the D-Ring over and get into gel work this is what boulder boats and Malibu came up with.

My boat had 3 of those shims each side from the factory. Surprised they didn't use any on the 18s. Guess different actuators

Apparently at some point in production, Malibu caught it. The later build '18 T22's have the d-rings located further outboard towards the surfgate hinges so they don't have the interference issue.

Steve, any chance you could snap a photo that has both the actuator and the D-ring for reference? I can't see mine hitting (maybe mine has the updated location), but I want to make sure.

They corrected the issue at some point in April from what I can tell.
You can see in mine the drings are farther outside the issues are when these are closer to the actuator, OK can't post it as is to big
