1/4" shim behind actuator bracket. Moves gate 1/4" from swim platform (my gates were already about 1/4" away so now they are about 1/2" away) and clears D ring without jeopardizing performance. So unless you want to get into gel work and moving the D rings this would be the way to go. Either way warranty will cover it. This is for 2018 T22s.   Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk |

On 2018 T22s when the surfgate is opened the actuator hits the D-Ring and puts a lot of pressure on the plastic actuator bracket causing them to break. My boat had 3 of those shims each side from the factory. Surprised they didn't use any on the 18s. Guess different actuators Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk |

Apparently at some point in production, Malibu caught it. The later build '18 T22's have the d-rings located further outboard towards the surfgate hinges so they don't have the interference issue. |

Steve, any chance you could snap a photo that has both the actuator and the D-ring for reference? I can't see mine hitting (maybe mine has the updated location), but I want to make sure. |

They corrected the issue at some point in April from what I can tell. You can see in mine the drings are farther outside the issues are when these are closer to the actuator, OK can't post it as is to big |
