So is this mainly an issue with the 350 engine? Wonder if this issue was part of the reason Axis went to the 409 as the standard engine for all 2017s?

2015 T23 w/350... doesn't burn a drop and we are about 3500lbs when surf... I've already posted my opinion, but I definitely wish you all good luck with Malibu/PCM... hopefully they take care of you.

So what oil are you using now? I was using the shell rotella 15w-40. Should I change? We surf wakeboard about 50:50.

What RPM are you running mostly?

PCM is not saying to run straight 40 weight oil if you ambient air temp is above 60. I was using 15w-40 too and switched with this last oil change but haven't been able to run it yet since. Thanks Hurricane Matthew!

Wow. This is surprising and scary. I put 100 hours on my boat and it never used any oil and I checked it nearly every outing.

If you have a 350, you are very rare, I burn and leak from s valve covet

I am having the same oil issue. 2016 T23 350HP. I surf probably 50% of the time. I was adding oil every other weekend which is unacceptable. Dealer has provided the same recommendation of switching to straight 40W oil. I am very suspicious and do not believe this to be an adequate solution to their design issue. Everyone needs to make sure they are reporting this to their dealers so that Axis is aware of the full scope of the issue. I agree with RDUB53 that there should be some type of recall. We paid too much for these boats to be worried about checking the oil every time we want to go out.

I have the indmar 335 in my '10 and it has never burned so much as a half pint, we surf/wakeboard about 50/50 and just hit 290 hours
