Wanted to share a few pics and info with everyone looking to improve their surfwake. This last weekend we have gotten the best wake to date with the ballast set up listed below in my signature minus the 850lb center floor bag which will be arriving today or tomorrow. We were running all bags filled, wedge down, 6 passengers and 1 rider. boat was running 3800rpm at 11.2 mph. I have also added photos of before and after the ballast tanks were filled for reference.

It looks like I see surf gate on the back there. Is it engaged? I thought over 11mph it beeps and retracts it? We surf at ~10.6-~10.8 to make it stop beeping at us.

The only beeps we hear is when the cruise control hits the desired speed. If the boat falls below that speed and then increases back up to he set speed it will beep again. Surfgate works between7 and up 13.6mph, so it shouldn't be what is beeping.

Saber, could it be the cruise that is engaging and disengaging. It will beep each time. Occasionally, I have not given it enough throttle to keep up and this has happened.

Makes sense; I always give extra throttle but I'll mention it to the other drivers.

I emailed my dealer and he suggested that maybe my speedometer is off. I guess if the surf gate speed is separate from the speedo that could make me think I'm only going 10.8 but I'm actually going >13. I'll use a speedometer app to check it next time we go out.

Double check with a speedo app. Also go into your settings on the display and see what it's calibrate at. Mine was 10% high from the factory. Your surfgate is good to 13+ mph before you get a warning alarm and also a message on display saying surfgate high speed.

If we are surfing at 12mph we almost always get the surf gate warning and sometimes it will even close but come back out after a few seconds. Very annoying..

Check your speedo calibration. You can manually decrease the calibration so your speedo shows slower than actual, so that won't happen.

Ok, back to the original topic.

I'm running the same boat, same engine, sea level, 2419 prop, same rear bags, same under bow sac, but the Sumo Max 650 triangle bow sac on top of the seats. According to that post on WakeWorld that sac is actually 820lbs. I've also got 250lbs of lead in the boat, and I moved 150 of that to the bow. My speedo is off too so I have it set at 12.4 but I think it's running 11.2-11.4 according to my phone. My RPMs though are like 42-4300 though. The wave is excellent on the goofy side which I surf. Need to get a better pic though to really show it off. I can be in the curl past the end of my rope and still have push and recover a couple feet outside the wave. It's great! I've got to do something about this prop though. I'm thinking 2773 or OJ 945.

Do you have any pics of the Ronix 950 bow sac full and how it fits in the T23? I really like the Sumo Max bags because they fill in under 3 minutes with that 4200GPH pump.

I've got an old school 1500lb fat couch I want to put in the floor and see what that does as well, haha
