Closed bow with the windshield redirecting water vs having an open bow Axis with a walk-thru to allow more water into the cabin.

You're right it is, saw that video years ago and as soon as it started I knew which video it was. Only remembered it was an older direct drive

Man this really sucks. Sorry about your loss. Guess this wouldn't qualify for the pics of your boat on the water thread...?

Please keep us updated on what's going on with the recovery and insurance stuff.

I keep saying it and it keeps getting ignored. That boats gets saved because he threw it in reverse when it swamped.

That really sucks- sorry for your loss. I just can't imagine the amount of water that would have to have come over the top for that to happen. I've taken some huge rollers in my old Supra (slanted nose) where water would come over the bow and it didn't cause any problems. I could see it if the driver throttled into the wave when bow was at it's lowest, but it had to be several mistakes after that to have caused it.
Hope things all work out with recovery and insurance. Keep us posted!

Any up-dates? I would be crying!! That is just terrible. Sorry for your loss man. I hope your insurance pays for another boat ASAP.

Still waiting to get all the insurance squared away. So far the initial report is that it is a total loss so we will see.

Will Insurance cover that? I never thought of asking, it was an accident not caused by any other boat I guess. I hope it is a seamless process for you and it sucks you are with out a boat until they figure out what they are going to do. Total loss, man there are parts on that boat some one will make money off of.
