I replaced the tachometer (GDIG) and not only did the actual speed match the set speed, the cruise control surging went away. Old speed control error on paddle wheel was +/- 2 mph. New error is 0.2 mph. Awesome old software version was 1.3 as you said and new software is version 1.5. If anyone else has this issue, Malibu tech support will deny it being and issue and will not offer up a possible solution. The local malibu dealer also did a poor job helping out with this issue. They claimed paddlewheel damage which was way wrong (but a good guess for most paddlewheel speed issues). I'm guessing nobody else will have this same issue since it's on a 2014 axis. |
