If you are even half competent with stereo install, do not order anything more than sp1. The dealer that I am working with happens to be a good friend of mine. He flat out said I can order and install the wetsounds myself for a hell of a lot cheaper than axis charges.

I agree. I think the dealer was trying to upsale. It is my first time going through this dealer, I dont feel super comfortable with them but if I feel like I am not getting the deal I want, then I will walk away.

I sure wouldn't leave your current boat with the dealer until you get the new one in and it's exactly what you want, I've heard stories of people signing paperwork for a new boat order and dropping off a trade, then the dealer sells the trade before the order comes in, customer isn't happy with new boat, dealer says too bad you signed for it, arguments follow and nobody is happy.
When I bought mine my salesman drove out to my house (2 hours away) inspected my boat, took pictures and called me at the end of the week an we negotiated a price, they didn't get my boat until I got theirs. My purchase went pretty smooth other than it rained all day and I got black road tar on a seat on the drive home.

Ya Walter is right. In my case the dealer was a friend of mine and it just worked out. He got it on the market sooner and I didn't have to keep it in storage. I didn't hand the title over until I picked up the new boat though.

I agree with you all. I don't feel too comfortable with the local dealer and the way they laid it out. I have another option though.

There is an A22 with all the options I am looking for and the color scheme I want about 3.5 hours away and it it has been for sale a since the '14s came out. Would it be better to pursue this A22 or just work through my dealer to get one built? I am going to give them a call today and talk to them about it. I want to see if I can work a price out of them.

I would call on the used one to see what you could work out price wise.

I did this morning. She answered my call despite being on vacation. She said she would email me requesting a little more information about my trade. We will see. I am not sure if going through a bigger dealer will be better than going through a local dealer but they do seem more accommodating to make a sale.

I'd look at the other 14 for sure, if nothing else as an alternative.

Many of the options you listed can be added if they are missing. I added extra swivel racks, 3 outlet heater (in better locations no less), deck trac and underwater/dock lighting as part of the deal and have been very pleased. As for me, your list was dead on and we use the flip up driver's seat all the time.

Good luck!

Thanks, I am going to go after the one that is already built first. I don't feel comfortable handing my boat over to a dealership while waiting for one to get built. Plus I feel like I can get a better deal for the one that is already been built and have been sitting on the lot since July. I am sure they are looking to turn over the inventory.
